Pawzee is a brand operated by Zilo Infotech Pvt Ltd("Pawzee", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use pawzee.shop and related services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

1. Who we are

Zilo Infotech Pvt Ltd is the data fiduciary under the DPDP Act for personal information collected through the Platform. For any privacy-related query you can reach our Data Protection Officer at support@pawzee.shop.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Identity & contact: name, mobile number, email address, and (for Google sign-in) your Google profile name and avatar.
• Order & delivery: shipping addresses, billing details, pincode, order history, payment status. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN — those go directly to the payment gateway.
• Pet profiles: details you voluntarily add about your pet (name, breed, age, weight, vaccinations) so we can personalise recommendations.
• Device & usage: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, products viewed, search queries, time spent on the Platform. Collected via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
• Communications: messages you send us via email, chat, vet consultation, or grievance form.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and authenticate your account, including OTP verification;
• Process orders, payments, shipping, returns, and refunds;
• Send transactional updates: OTPs, order confirmations, dispatch and delivery notifications, return acknowledgements;
• Personalise the Platform — show products relevant to your pet's species, size, and prior purchases;
• Operate, debug, and secure the Platform; prevent fraud, abuse, and chargebacks;
• Send marketing communications (only with your consent — you can opt out anytime);
• Comply with legal obligations, including tax records and grievance redressal.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on one of these grounds: (i) your consent (e.g. for marketing); (ii) the performance of a contract (e.g. fulfilling your order); (iii) compliance with a legal obligation (e.g. tax records, IT Act requirements); or (iv) our legitimate interest in running and improving the Platform, balanced against your rights.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use first-party cookies to keep you signed in (refresh token), remember your guest cart across browser sessions, and store accessibility preferences. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies via your browser settings; doing so will sign you out and clear your guest cart.

6. Sharing with third parties

We share information only with parties who help us run the Platform:

• Logistics partners (e.g. shipping carriers) — to deliver your order. They receive name, address, mobile number, order summary.
• Payment gateways (Razorpay or equivalent, when online payments are enabled) — to process transactions. Card data is handled directly by the gateway, not stored by us.
• SMS, WhatsApp, and email providers — to deliver OTPs and notifications.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g. cloud platforms within India / EU) — to host the Platform and store data securely.
• Government authorities and courts — when required by law, regulation, court order, or to defend a legal claim.
• Acquirers / successors — if Pawzee is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer to the new entity, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Order, invoice, and tax records are retained for at least 8 years to comply with the Income Tax Act and GST law. When you delete your account, we anonymise or delete personally identifiable information within 90 days, except where law requires longer retention.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices: HTTPS for all traffic, password hashing, encrypted refresh tokens stored in HttpOnly cookies, scoped access tokens with short expiry, role-based access control on the admin panel, and regular security review of our codebase. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the Computer Emergency Response Team — India (CERT-In) within the timelines required by law.

9. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct any inaccurate information, directly via your account or by request;
• Delete your account and personal information (subject to legal retention);
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
• Lodge a grievance via the contact below; if unresolved, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children's data

The Platform is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with their information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our primary infrastructure is located in India. Some service providers we use (e.g. Cloudflare for DDoS protection, Google for OAuth) may process data outside India under their own contractual and legal safeguards.
